Senior Frontend Engineer

Vancouver, BC, Canada
$100-130K CAD/year + equity

About Us

Today, business happens on the web. Repacket is a security agent that keeps employees safe while browsing the internet.

Our first product (Codename: SWG) inspects web traffic locally, using threat intelligence and LLMs to classify and block phishing, malware, data leaks, and more. Rather than blame users for making security mistakes, our mission is to make security invisible and automatic.
‍

The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who can build beautiful interfaces for our users. We work with external design partners, as well as freestyle some designs in house. We’re looking for someone who can execute high quality designs and make them functional. You will own and drive design across Repacket.

This is a hybrid role in Vancouver, BC, Canada (3+ days in office/wk). You will be one of the first people in our Vancouver HQ, and partner directly with our CEO to shape everything from product to culture. You will report to our CTO, and collaborate closely with our U.S. engineering team.

‍

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end frontend experience for our web application, shipping complex designs and interactive visualizations to customers.
  • Collaborate closely with external design partners and in-house designers to translate high-fidelity mocks into pixel-perfect implementations.
  • Lead frontend architecture and evolve our design system and component libraries, ensuring consistency and quality across our product.
  • Integrate interactive data visualizations to bring complex datasets to life and enable customers to understand their environment quickly.
  • Work hard - disrupting a massive market with massive rewards take massive effort. The ideal candidate embraces this, leads from the front, and takes product ownership.
    ‍

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of commercial experience building production-grade frontend applications with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+); hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first frameworks.
  • Demonstrated track record working with design systems and component libraries.
  • Experience integrating data visualization libraries (D3.js, Recharts, WebGL, etc.) into React applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to build design and write code. We value this so much.
  • Experience writing webapp backends in Python (Django, Flask, FastAPI, etc).
  • Prior experience collaborating with external design partners and translating Figma into production code.
  • Familiarity with security-focused or compliance-oriented products, especially within web security or threat-intelligence domains.
  • Experience in high-growth startups with remote and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with AI tooling and AI-supported workflows within applications.
    ‍

Benefits

  • Autonomy and the ability to influence product strategy.
  • Hybrid work environment (3/5 days in office) with flexibility.
  • Executive-level insurance (dental, vision, life, paramedical, etc).
  • Competitive compensation (base + equity/stock)
  • 10 vacation days + 5 personal days + 10 holidays.
